The UN–BAPPENAS Forum for Development Cooperation is an annual platform through which UN achievements, challenges, and progress in Indonesia are reviewed. Prior to the 2022 forum, the UN convened the co-chairs of its four Results Groups to discuss the UN in Indonesia 2021 Country Results Report.

The Indonesia-UN Consultative Forum (IUNCF) works to strengthen cooperation between the Government and the UN on SDGs. 2022 meetings involved sharing information on cooperation development and the Migration Multi-Partner Trust Fund (MMPTF), on immigration and consular facilities, on tax and customs-related facilities, and on migration governance.

The Annual National SDGs Conference focused on supporting green economic development in Indonesia, which the Minister of National Development Planning noted could create an additional 1.8 million jobs by 2030. SDG Action Awards were presented to recognise notable contributions towards advancing the achievement of the SDGs.

To support Indonesia in increasing South-South Cooperation to accelerate achievement of the SDGs, the UN and the Government developed specific strategies for the Asian and Sub-Saharan African regions, as well as an effective evaluation process to gauge the impact of Government development projects.

Other partnerships ranged from global efforts to better weather the interlinked crises, informal information and experience-sharing between the UN and Development Partners, and efforts to coordinate UN work on topics related to preventing violent extremism. Indonesia and the UN also co-hosted the seventh Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction session.
